1. Definitions

"Platform" refers to LocalTradies.com.au and all associated services. "User" means any person accessing the Platform. "Customer" refers to users seeking tradie services. "Tradie" refers to trade service providers listed on the Platform. "Services" means the platform services we provide.

2. Eligibility

• Must be 18+ years old
• Must provide accurate information
• Must comply with Australian laws

3. User Accounts

Account holders must maintain accurate information, protect their login credentials, and are responsible for all activity under their account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

4. Platform Use

Prohibited uses include but are not limited to:

• Spam, fraud, or harassment
• Illegal activities
• Impersonation or false information
• Scraping or unauthorized data collection
• Infringement of intellectual property rights

5. For Customers

LocalTradies facilitates connections only. We create no employment relationship between customers and tradies. Customers contract directly with tradies. LocalTradies is not liable for tradie work quality, completion, or outcomes. Customers must conduct their own due diligence when hiring tradies.

6. For Tradies

Tradies must maintain valid licenses and insurance, provide accurate business information, and are solely responsible for their work and customer relationships. Verification requirements must be met to maintain active profiles. Profile information must be kept current and accurate.

7. Fees and Payments

Customer use is free. Tradie subscriptions and fees apply as outlined in our pricing. Payment terms are specified at signup. Refund policies are available upon request.

8. Reviews and Content

User-generated content must comply with our guidelines. We reserve the right to moderate and remove content violating these Terms. By posting content, users grant LocalTradies a license to display and distribute it on the Platform.

9. Verification and Vetting

While we verify tradie credentials, we make no guarantees about tradie quality or work outcomes. Users remain responsible for their own due diligence. Verification has limitations and should not be solely relied upon.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties. We make no guarantees about tradie quality, work outcomes, or Platform availability. Technical issues may occur without liability to LocalTradies.

12. Limitation of Liability

LocalTradies is not liable for tradie work, disputes, or damages arising from Platform use. Our maximum liability is limited as permitted by Australian law. Users indemnify LocalTradies against claims arising from their Platform use.

13. Dispute Resolution

User-tradie disputes must be resolved directly between parties. These Terms are governed by Australian law. Australian courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
